Privacy Policy

FleetID ("we," "us," or "our") operates the FleetID platform, including the website at fleetid.app, the FleetID mobile application, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and organization details.

Equipment & Event Data

Information you enter about your equipment inventory, events, participants, waivers, and check-in/check-out records.

Photos

Photos taken through the mobile app for equipment documentation purposes. These are uploaded to our servers and associated with equipment records.

NFC & Scan Data

When you scan NFC tags or barcodes, we collect the tag identifier, scan timestamp, and associated equipment information.

Device Information

We may collect device type, operating system version, and app version for troubleshooting and compatibility purposes.

Usage Data

We use Vercel Analytics to collect anonymous usage data such as page views and general traffic patterns. This data does not identify individual users.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide, maintain, and improve the Service
  • To process equipment check-ins, check-outs, and event management
  • To send you service-related notifications (e.g., scan confirmations, event updates)
  • To process payments through our payment provider, Stripe
  • To respond to your support requests
  • To detect and prevent fraud or abuse

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

  • Stripe — for payment processing
  • Supabase — for database hosting and authentication
  • Vercel — for website hosting and analytics
  • Google Firebase — for push notifications (if enabled)

These providers only process data as necessary to provide their services and are bound by their own privacy policies.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on servers managed by Supabase and Vercel. We use HTTPS encryption for all data in transit. Photos are temporarily cached on your device before upload and removed after successful transmission. We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Equipment and event records are kept for the duration of your subscription. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

6. Your Rights

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Export your data in a portable format
  • Withdraw consent for optional data processing

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the "last updated" date.
